I know, because Cologero Salvo (R.I.P.) from Gornahoor 'applied' it to me. A chaste union is a purely metaphysic affair from a distance. There are problems with it, but it seems to have its place. Savitri Devi and Mouravieff both wrote on it too.
In its greatest form it sets off the Kundalini, which opens the Eye of God (the pineal gland). In alchemy this is spoken of at length with marriage and keys.
Salvo's somewhat cringe, 'Knights' and Troubadour schtick has a place in reality.
That said, it's also a sort of illusion- whereas sex in a sacred sense can be all three/four states simultaneously.
